Just saw M.J. at Yoshi's in San Fran last night. He was solo acoustic - it was excellent to say the least. I'm always baffled when I see a singer-songwriter playing songs that seem so simple but there's something very special there that reaches the audience and affects them profoundly. Its a unique gift this man has.
On a side note, does anyone else get a Bruce Springsteen / Roy Orbison feel when listening to "The Field" or "City of Ghosts"? Kind of that Americana, 50s rock vibe? am I nuts?

I came across Mason Jennings by chance; what a great artist. If he comes to London, I'll get tickets. I really enjoyed this video too - if Nick Drake had made a video I imagine it would look a a bit like Pittsburgh/Sing Out. Jason DS, London
