Yor voice is okay but coud be better and I don't think you quite grasp the full conscept of the song. It's more than your father not being there. And less about the literal translation of 'God'. It sounds forced all the way around.

Blue October is my favorite band... I think you've really got an understanding of what Justin was trying to get across in this song.
You've got a good voice, but don't force it. Feel the music instead of singing it. Let it take you away. I think you'll find that you're much less nervous that way.
