This performance eventually earned 1st place after fine tuned for Far East 07.

Any immature, disrespectful criticisms or comments to ANY team, or schools will be deleted. Know that whichever branch/type/school you are, all JROTC aspects should be respected among cadets.)

Kubasaki Armed Exhibition, performance for the battalion a couple weeks before Far East.

Routine was complete. But there was timing, synchronization, and minimal mistakes taking place. So there were still kinks to work on which we polished before going to the 07 competition.

Rifles:
M14 Carbine
Pic- http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4b/M14_afmil.jpg
Weight- 10-12lbs (depending on parts)
Modifications- Demilitarized, plastic rear handguard, black/white paint

Routine:
The exhibition routine is the most difficult, physically demanding, practiced part of routines. Usually consisting of elaborate and creative use of rifle drills including, but not limited to, spinning, throwing and catching with the rifle.

Kubasaki Routine:
Calculated to be a total of 300-350 counts of memorization.
Some parts are not counted, but memorized to natural reflex of rifle drill/movement (such as ripple)

  • don't get me wrong, this is good, but it was stale. I mean i didn't see many moves that were challenging to execute. i give mad props to you guys for keeping in step and sync with each other for the most part, but i mean the difficulty of the moves weren't so challenging.

but hey for a JROTC, that's a 1st place title well earned.

  • @Sharod101

Agreed. Your criticism is very credible, the "flare and awe" of many of these moves are just aren't as good as others out there. Maybe the competition's standards are too low or we did not aim even higher. But the end result does hold true, and I could'nt be any more prouder with this team (75% of them being freakin girls, which is pretty badass)

  • Did anyone notice one of the cadets didnt do a statue of liberty

  • @MythBustersist

If you're talking about 5:05 that would be the middle cadet "Jessica", despite all the relentless drill training, she could never build enough upper body strength to keep it up for even a second lol. (this still happened at performance day too) Eventually we all accepted it.

  • where do you get the m 14s, i have looked EVERYWHERE

  • @HadesSkellington

Dude no idea. if you find out, tell me too.

They were funded by the high school, I want to know where I can find a drill-ready replica (and not those cheap plastic heavy crap on the web) haha

see all
