The Kibera slum in Nairobi is being digitally mapped for the first time by an NGO organisation Map Kibera. The Map Kibera team gave permission for this assembly of their filmed material to be assembled and presented in the African Digital Diaries series of short videos recording the achievements of African heroes of online learning. In this video, we see how young citizens of the Kibera slum are learning digital mapping, and creating a valuable opensource online resource. More info about map kibera is at www.mapkibera.org.
This video was prepared and launched at the e-learning Africa conference in Lusaka on 27 May 2010
