My gearbox just clicks when I fire, the piston doesnt release and stays charged back... any thoughts? i really can seem to fix it...

I'm having trouble with my gun, some tech downgraded my spring because my gun was shooting to fast for the field. However now when I fire my gun 25% of the shots I fire have no power, these shots barely go 30 feet.
Any ideas on what he did to ruin my gun?

Thanks a ton, this helped immensely.
I have one request, I didn't quite catch what you said at 8:33, that spring there is what I am missing. I got the first part of its name, the Anti Reversal ... something. it sounded like latch or something. Anyways, if you could let me know the name of that part and maybe even where to get that replacement spring, (Echo1 store doesn't have it+Echo1 forums are down) I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks again.

@bobimaniac i just had the exact same problem. my problem was that the long plastic part that the gear catches to pull the nozzle back was broken. check, there should be a long plastic bit with the nozzle on one end and a big triangle thing on the other.

The plastic deal attached to the air nozzel is the tappet plate and the thing you just took out of the cylinder is the cylinder head and the washer is a shim...

Hey question dude, whered you get that tappet plate/air nozzle? Looks like it's just one piece. Or what brand gun did you take apart?

Thanks man, this video kept me from going up to Nashville Airsoft to get my gun fixed, I own two p90s, a echo 1 and KS and Iv fixed both.
You have saved me over 80 dollars in labor fees and 50 dollars in parts. I'v also fixed friends guns. Thanks so much
I'm having problems with BB feeding because of the nozzle not moving all the way back after I stop shooting..I think the correct gear setup like you've shown should do the trick. Thanks a lot for posting!:)

yeah it might be the the gear, it probably was not set to the correct position when they made assembled your gearbox.... if it still doesn't work, try fialing down your air nozzle (may not be the best option) or just get a new one

unfortunately still not working for me...It used to work perfectly fine with stock spring, spring guide and bushings..I've changed the stock spring to sp110, replaced the bushings for metal oiless ones and the spring guide for metal. Now when I fire full auto the nozzle moves forward and back-when I stop shooting, sometimes it moves back where it's supposed to be and most of the times it stays all the way out(blocks the entire hop up chamber..Got any more ideas?:)

@bobimaniac ohhhh i see hmm it could be you didnt place the air nozzle back how it should be (after opening)
2. you might be missing the spring for the nozzle
3. you might have set the gear wrong so it didnt pull nozzle lever back right
