i made a vid with the missing water and beam effects that were mentioned in some sites and forums. i didn't believe at first but when i compared side by side i noticed them. it's fun since i hadn't noticed that in february when i played the game initially and only noticed when people pointed it out (thanks guys :( )

also, i show a glitch with the power beam's charge shot and the rapid fire missile trick in both versions.

  • What do you preffer? Four little details of the wii motion controls?

  • @Evaquiel the GC version also has speed tricks and sequence breaks so it is better.

  • do you have a turbo GC controller? Cuz that's the only explanation to the fact that at 1:50 you were able to shoot so darn quickly without slowing down in the slightest bit.

i'm not saying that the turbo function is considered cheating as i have one myself. They truly are awesome ^^

  • @MrBman10123 i don't have a turbo controller. i'm just that fast.

  • @PiccoloCube Is your right thumb on meth?

  • @Mber7560 nope.

the game actually has a limit in how fast you can shoot and if you go faster, it doesn't register the shots. my most efficient speed happens to be very close to this limit.

  • Borg last part of my comment got cut off. Recap: let's see how challenging halo, cod and Bd crime when u can't move freely and aim freely. Bet a lot of pros would start qqing cause they can't last very long or have a good kd

  • Oh defiantly have to go GC all the way over the Wii. I live the charge beam effects and the fact that people like that u can strife while u aim on we just doesn't seem like metroid to me anymore. Just seems like an different game that's pretty much just like a version of halo, cod, it bf. The fact that u can't look freely while strifing made it more of a challenge on GC against fast move enemies and alot more fun. Let'd see how much more challenging halo, cod and f become wen u can't move freel

  • i prefer to play this game with the gamecube controller.. the wii controller is a good one but i dont like it too much.

  • @ChaoticChewtoy springball in trilogy

  • @DeathToTheseWalls try redoing that effects (the beam ones) for every single movement the cannon can do on wii then you can consider the remove of them bad

  • Wii has better graphics

  • I bought the gamecube version, but that's only because I have to spend cash on other stuff.

  • @PiccoloCube Well I can shoot that fast too, and I don't have a turbo controller. So yeah.. Don't trust me? I can make you a vid if you don't trust me man!

  • @DeathToTheseWalls Who cares? Graphics aren't everything... it's not like they downgraded the game to 64 bit graphics... they removed 4 little effects which were illogical anyway. The Wave Beam's sparks were the only thing that made any sense. I'd rather the motion controls and the rewards system than a few bleh effects.

  • How the hell could Nintendo screw this up?!

For crying out loud: the GameCube originals can be played on the Wii!
