It was filmed at a studio for a CD Rom called "Encyclopedia of Martial Arts" that came out 15 yrs ago, this was one of 20 clips they filmed. The end product (which I never got given) had about 5 clips on, plus history of Savate, a little info about past Champion "Richard Sylla" and some info about types of competition (Assaut, Pre -combat and Combat).

I was gonna repy to "Ghostrider" but.....what would be the point, he obviously knows so much about Savate. I have also done muay thai, WKA kickboxing, Wing Tsun, Hapkido, Judo and boxing - there is nothing "gay" or "idiot" about any form of combat sport, there are differences between them all as there are dfferences in peoples opinions about many things - I personally think Ghostrider is maybe a closet homosexual who needs to "come out" and be honest to himself but.....that is just my opinion.

A) I was not doing boxing....I was doing Savate.

B) A straight right wouldn't have reached the target, if you watch the clip carefully you will see that my left hand is gaurding my head against any "incoming" riposte (reply).

C) My opponent was in no position to deliver a reply punch as he was badly balanced.... which is why the footsweep "Coup pied bas" worked so well.

IF you "pause" the clip at 2 seconds....you'll see that a straight right wouldn't work as my head is well out of his punching range....
