  • nice build for being a cookie cutter why didn't you build your own suspentio

  • @63Bravo - No cookie cutter stuff here. I designed & fabricated the entire chassis from scratch in my own shop. No 1- 800-xxx-xxxx parts here. The chassis was designed to adapt modern day Corvette suspension. In the tradition of true hot rodding, I built a car using parts from other cars and my own imagination just like hodders have done from the beginning of time. Furthermore, I built this car with no out of pocket expense. How many hodders can make that claim now?

  • I was curious if you built the front cross member. I have my frame ready and the vett stripped but i would rather not use the stock cross member.

  • Yes I designed the front cross member. You can do it too if you are real good at measuring. Take the Vette crossmember out and strip it down. Measure everything on the original crossmember. You cannot change anything. Decide on your ride height, and use that a your starting point. You can reference everything from the lower control arms. Pay carefull attention to the axle centre line. Measure twice & cut once. If you want, send me your contact info for more help.

  • John, great job! Did u build the cross member yourself ? I would love to put that set up in my 34 pickup.

  • Hello: Thanks for your feedback. I designed and built the entire chassis using the Corvette suspension components. The front crossmember was a bit challenging but not impossible. How would you like me to help you out? very best regards, John
