It annoys us, too, if it makes you feel any better. That said, if you don't want something Americanized, you may want to quit watching American television. Just a thought. I'm given to understand that they make TV in other places, too.

those are atlantic salmon and unlike the pacific salmon they don't stop feeding when they enter the rivers so that was a small inaccuracy of the commentary.

atlantic salmon do not feed in fresh water,and unlike pacific salmon which all die after spawning, some do survive return to spawn .

The good old 'generic' irish music playing in the background. tin whistles with loads of reverb and some fella pounding a bodhrán.
It really annoys me that I can't watch an excerpt from a nature program without the false americanised idea of Irish culture being thrown back at me.
