An ad from New Zealand TV for dog food. It uses "Dog" from the "Footrot Flats" comic strips & movie. My guess is that the ad came out after the movie, which was released in 1986. The animated scene may even be from the movie?

  • it's fun...how do you get it from tape to youtube?

  • @therealartwerx It's quite simple how I got this on to here. My digital video camera can record from an outside input. I simply play the old video tape on my TV, which then sends the signal to my camera and now I have it in digital format which I can upload here.

  • did "dog" sell any dog food?

  • I don't think he sold much. I can't even remember this type of dog food, it's certainly not being sold now days. If I hadn't found this ad on an old tape then I'd know nothing about it.

  • To answer your question: none of this footage is in the movie, it was just made for the advert. It's still pretty good, though.
