SpectroMagic back in the 90's was a hair more dazzling compared to now. The conductor's podium in the Silly Symphonies unit where the title role of Who Framed Roger Rabbit once stood is currently taken up by the Genie of the Lamp from Aladdin. The 90's version that you filmed brought back fond memories of watching that parade with my parents on the curbs of the pathways at the Magic Kingdom, before one of them succumbed to cancer a few years before now. Thanks.

Yep, I don't know what it is, but the early 90's version of the Spectromagic parade was a lot more awe inspiring. They must be using a different grade of light now, also I noticed that they don't make the streets as dark as they used to... it really diminishes the effect compared to this.

the sound system at the Magic Kingdom sure has gotten better since '02(heck back when this was filmed the audio was still being played on a reel to reel machine. it's all digital now

what year did the trumpeters move to the front? I remember originally they were in the finale
-
coasterpiglet, the two "whirly" balls are still there. The four whirlies are now bunched together. The opening floats were rearranged, creating a better flow with the soundtrack.

i remember seeing this parade way back in 92 which was my first time to disneyworld. although i have been back since. I have not seen this parade since 92. aww the memories. i love this parade. i was watchin a video of this parade from this year and the people on the balls where in it behind the trumpet band float.

Great to see this parade in its "fullness!" If you watch it today in FL the two balls at the beginning are gone and its starts with the trumpets float. There were a few more cuts as well- but I always miss the two balls at the beginning- This is how the parade was when I worked Parade Audience Control (PAC) in 1994!
