Reunion Band - Part 3 - A Tale of Two Kellys

The band had not played in public since August of 94. Since we were just jamming in the garage, lead guitarist Roger Furer brought in a guitar friend, Kelly Burns, to jam with us. Kelly and Roger had known each other for years, and they really worked well together as two lead and rhythm guitarists. Kelly was a walking Juke Box. He knew almost every song we ever wanted to play. A gig came up in June of 95. It was a birthday party for a guy turning 50. He had heard the band at the reunion party the prior year and tracked us down. Since this new event wasn't a reunion, we thought we would play under a different name. We went with "Go Ask Alice." As we geared up for the gig, Kelly said that an old friend of his was in town, and he was wondering if she could join us as a singer. Her name was Kelli Morris, and she and Kelly had been in an old LA band called The Secrets some years before. She came to rehearsal and blew us all away. This is the only time a female was in the band. This would also be the last time Terry Paul performed with us. Terry was our bass player and also sat in on the keyboard when needed. Please watch the video to the end where Kelli sings "When A Man Loves A Women." She belts it out, and Terry plays some great "keys"!!
