The salary of the vice president is currently $221,100. Retired Presidents/Vice Presidents and First Ladies also receive Civil Service protection for 10 years after leaving office. I would not blink either with that kind of protection and retirement plans. To her it's like winning the lotto.

Being offered to run for such a huge and important position, I think she should have "blinked" and taken the time to think about how this will affect her family and if she is truly ready. Definitely makes me wonder about her decision making capabilities. Why wouldn't you think about making such a big move? I don't want her making decisions on behalf of my family without considering consequences. I'm voting for Obama/Biden!

I wish that Palin wouldn't have delivered such a harsh and divisive speech at the RNC because it has made her a less sympathetic figure in the eyes of the general public and media. To top it off, the McCain campaign's fake outrage about sexism didn't help her any either.

After this disastrous interview, the McCain campaign handlers are going to have their hands full trying to sell Palin to undecided, Independent voters. Keep in mind, they don't have very long to close the deal.
