looks like passivisation may be occurring

is nickel nitrate carcinogenic?
-
yes it was nitric lead. you need a higher concentration of nitric acid. also add heat. unless you live in california, in which case no it wasnt now stop doing those things.
-
Guys I tried to do that with lead. I used 100 ml of hot nitric aicd 65% and I put in that small balls of lead, each of them weighted about 1 gram. I put five of that balls (5 grams) at the acid. At first the reaction was strong and a white powder formed in my solution. This powder placed itself around the lead balls and from that point on, the lead didn't react further with the acid.
Was that white powder lead nitrate? How can I improve my reaction?

I don´t think It´s blue crystals, rather green crystals.
-
Nickel ions are so beatiful even more than copper ions.
-
? blasphameeeeeee!!
-
Ni2+ ions are supposed to be green
-
The "blue" nickel nitrate in the end looked more green.
-
what are the uses for that?
Why was the Nitric acid green before you put the Ni in there?

I had already put the Ni in the acid off camera.
