9x19 in a 9x18 PA-63

"DO NOT TRY THIS" I wouldn't try this but this guy did. he put a 9x19 in a 9x18 Pa-63 and fired it.

he probably hand loaded the 9x19 with a low load. I cant believe anyone is dumb enough to put a full powered 9x19 in a 9x18 handgun.

sure you could its just gonna reak hell on the slide. im sure if you drilled the inside of the barrel to the lenth of the 9x19 and put in one hell of a recoil spring it could be done. but that still leaves the magazine problem....

Crap, at the moment the bullet dimensions of the two escape me but yes the mak is a larger diameter round. The question I will raise is don't you know there are people who would gladly take in your 63 and give it a good home? Feed it the right ammo it needs to stay strong? Treat it with the proper respect it deserves until it has to be tossed over a bridge in the middle of the night? Have some respect.

As stated from previous posts, the reason you can "get away" with this is that both the case and bullet diameter of the 9x19 is actually SMALLER then the 9x18. That 9x19 also creates roughly 75% more pressure when fired going WAY over SAAMI specs. Not a good idea.
