I just see so many naive people saying that there's nothing wrong with our heal care system, and how great their insurance coverage is, I felt it was worth uploading this clip.

This is WRONG as far as employe driven health insurance is concerned, which is better than ANY Canadians plan for example, bar none. I get irritated at people who don't understand the economcis of our current problem OVER INSURANCE AMONG EMPLOYEE DUE TO EMPLOYER AND GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY! Not to mention frivolous lawsuits!

Amazing when you think this women openly admits the insurance companies encouraged denying sick people and letting them die..... Keep in mind this was the mid 90's and here we sit in 2010 and sick people are STILL being denied!!! WTF is that all about.... Is corporate profit so important to America that people lives come second ? Thank god health reform passed and things can finally change for the better.... STILL in the end we need to eliminate the insurance companies and get single payer...

YES, IT`S TRUE! I`ve been living their nightmare of corruption and neglect for 8 damn years and NOW I am going crippled because they HATE giving MRI`S and CT Scans! (they cost "too much." HOLY SHIT.) "Single Payer" in Canada, or State mandated basic health insurance is always supplemented by private addons for people who can afford it because the public good is abused and subject to supply restrictions...there is not even any copays for office visits

I know that the US about spends 2.2 trillion/year on health goods and services, or about 16% of GDP. The overhead you are talking about is dubious...I have seen numbers as high as 15 to 17%. However, what all the single payer advocates forget about is that the semi-private system is set up to over insure because of government driven subsidy!

That is why all other industrialized counties don't allow for profit health insurance. Most have universal entitlement to health care.
