Careless Love is perhaps the oldest blues song. Here, Michael and Melissa perform it for the Navasota Blues Fest, August 7, 2009. This version is based on the Version of Mance Lipscomb with some debt owed to Nat King Cole's piano playing in the movie, "St. Louis Blues," about the life of W. C. Handy, father of the blues. Handy acknowledged that Careless Love was already an old song when he copyrighted his version of the song.
very nice.
