@jmario232 Sounds like you're just some mindless 360 player. Tons of amazing games came out this year and all you focus on are 2 360 exclusive series and CoD. Portal 2, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, LA Noire, tons of indie games, and more, have all come out this year and pushed the gaming industry farther and farther. Games from any and every genre, and many more to come next year. If you think all of gaming is just those 3 games, pull your head out of your ass.

And where are our kids now? Playing Gears of Whore, Gaylo, or Call of Dooty. Yawn. We need more unique titles in our games library that do not involve mindless brain rotting garbage devoid of creativity. All CoD does is use the same gameplay mechanic with minor alterations to the story and character each sequel. What rubbish. All of us are becoming like Cranky. Going into mindless rants on how video games are corrupting society and the good ones are bashed and neglected.

In my opinion the term hardcore refers to the difficulty of the game. DKC games provide a decent challenge even to veteran players. DKC3 and even more greatly DKCR (DKC4) provide tons of challenge for veteran gamers and DKC1 and DKC2 were also pretty hard to an extent. Now people use the term hardcore meaning violent, bloody, and graphic and if it isn't any of that it is considered casual and "imature". This game is meant for adult hardcore gamers. Kids would be frusturated from hard games.
