I cannot get this tune out of my head. After seeing it live in '75, I'll still, to this day, sometimes be driving along, singing this. (I'm white. But still, the song is a hoot!! )

I agree. Garrett never made it as big as some of his fellow Not Ready for Prime Time Players. All I remember him is was the 1985 horror movie 'The Stuff' about a desert topping that eats people. In case you missed it, here's his death scene. :)

I still love the show nonetheless...last week had a great parody of punk rock and Margaret Thatcher....the sheer number of stars that have come from that show is impressive...and Garrett is on 2 Broke Girls today, still funny.

This early stuff is very dated. go back and watch it, for chrissakes they had the muppets on regularly lol...i like the Eddie Murphy years better overall...peace and love
