Having been in the offroad community for 14 years (and the proud owner of a YJ "Wrongler" the whole time), I can tell you why you're wrong. Sure, there are some fat lazy bastards in this sport, but the majority of us love the outdoors, and love building incredible machines in our garages. It's no different than building a turbocharged tractor, or a human sized slingshot in their backyard. We do it because it's a challenge and it makes us smile. Come join us sometime.
