  • Look at Pat talking shit at the end.... lmao.

  • Pat Day was OWNED by Pat Valenzuela. Day rode the superior horse again, and another ridiculously bad and owned ride on the best horse.

  • Valenzuela did absolutely own Pat wait all Day. Day hit him once, one time in the stretch.

  • @cheeriosinabowl He was my choice that year. I always liked him and he is just a gorgeous horse.

.... I checked it out and yes, you're right -- Sky Classic is still alive at 24 years old. Wow. I stand corrected.

Up here at Woodbine (in Toronto) he was almost unbeatable. What a great horse he was.

  • @cheeriosinabowl Sky Classic is still alive and standing at stud in Kentucky. Fraise passed away in 2005.

  • I am Canadian and wanted Sky to win so badly -- hearbreak motel to see him lose to Fraise.

All in all, Sky was one of the best racehorses in Canada ever. RIP, big fella.

  • sky classic is the sire of my horse :) this was so cool to see thank you for posting :)

  • i really liked Fraise that day, but i had to ditch the races and go study for the CPA exam which was only 3 days away and so i did not have a cent on him....no matter, it was a cheap win anyway, that group couldn't hold a candle to the turf stars before or since....but in retrospect, i should have drank a gallon of Knob Creek on the morning of the exam and instead put $5000 on Fraise....frustrated to no end, the next day i lost $600 on the Eagles as the Cowboys stomped them.....

  • c'mon. "the cadence quickens and the duel intensifies?" should have been a poet. great, great race call. oh, and I bet on Fraise that day....12-1.
