http://www.staysmartstayhealthy.com There are some set costs for Medicare, but also some variations. Medicare Part A is free, but you'll need to pay a deductible for hospital stays. You'll also need to pay monthly premiums for Parts B and D coverage. And there are exceptions for all the various Medicare plans, so make sure you do your research or talk to someone who can help.
Stay Smart Stay Healthy was created by Edward Batchelor at Humana Inc. as a new-media venture designed to deliver guidance, and to support awareness and understanding of the healthcare industry.
His goal was simple: to educate consumers on the healthcare system by removing the usual complexities and replacing them with an informative and engaging series of videos.

This is all so confusing. Why can't it be like buying fruits and vegetables at a stand? I'm serious.
I don't even like the idea of insurance. I think buying surgery or pills should be like buying anything else. Am I insane?

Can I just opt-out of Medicare entirely?
I'd rather not pay the premiums while I am working, and I'd rather buy a private policy.
Does the govt FORCE me to participate?
Why? And what gives them the right?
