  • i think this is one of the best Cruxshadows songs ever.

  • This song is a steady and unbelievably accurate channel of catharsis for me...

I find myself returning to it when social phobia and atypical depression weigh me down, just for that one moment of pure pleasure, of pure flight....

  • @Dracoa79 Dont sweat is man. Rogue is a poet and he will forever be one. Even if his appearance isnt that of one.. Would a blind man know the difference of a "freak" or a poet?

  • @GhostingFish

My comment wasn't on the version, I didn't disagree with that, but on what is seemingly an assumption that someone can't be poetic and gothic. Now maybe I read your comment wrong, if so, I apologize, but that's how it came off to me.

  • @GhostingFish woops, i didnt see that you weren't the one that uploaded this xD

  • @Dracoa79 I know. I was talking about the verson of the song though. This version of the song is from the album "'Mystery of the Whisper". You have it listed as "Night Crawls In...". I am aware that the song is on that album as well but its a different version. Still a wonderful song though.

Ah, but the thing is, starting at 5:17, Rogue is reciting a poem by the Master of the Macabre, Edgar Allen Poe, who by today's standards would be considered quite the goth, but also be as poetic as he can be. The poem in question? It's titled Spirits of the Dead.

I think it's safe to say that Rogue is greatly inspired by Mr. Poe.

  • @PsychoKungFu This isn't the version from 'Night Crawls In...' this is from 'Mystery of the Whisper'.

  • Big ole fuckin obvious billboard of "Live and let live. Walk on by and never notice someone with 3 heads as everyone is different" XD

  • This isnt the "...Night Crawls in" version, This one is from "The Mystery of the Whisper". I own the cassette that has the original one in it. It still is a wonderful song. Rogue shall forever be poetic no matter how far into the Gothic lifestyle he goes..

  • Thanks mate. This song haunts. It's great, a goth anthem that is real. Like when you are doing something normal. I remember running - to this song. Opposing it.
