When exactly did the "English" stop developing the jet because it "wouldn't shut down" ? What the hell are you on about? The first British jet flew 18 months after the 262. @doctordrew66 yes ok they invented the modern jet engine at approximately the same time but the english stopped developing it because it wouldn't shut off but the germans developed it and made the first jet engine in the Messerschmitt Me 262 so there happy?
