When I let go on the stick and its dead stick the rudder stays to the direction it was originally aimed at.

!!!Doing this after a crash!!! - replaced tail end.

  • I believe that is normal with a heading hold gyro. It is trying to compensate becasue the tail did not move in the direction it was supposed to.

    If you reduce your gyro gain on your transmitter to 50 or below, it should center like you are expecting it to.

  • @wbefield A few things were wrong, my gain was set up too high, the switch was stuck in the. My gyro needed to be power cycled IE switched on, the dip switch flipped, switched off, then the dip switch back to normal position, then Everything was ok :D

  • Movement on the sticks are correct and that heading hold usually does that, but the compensation is going the wrong way. On a rate mode setup on the gyro it would go back to center.
