In times of disaster people turn to the most basic of human needs - and one of those is clean clothes. The Tide Loads of Hope program provides relief by means of a mobile Laundromat where the team washes, dries and folds clothes for families for free.
During the summer of 2010, the Tide Loads of Hope team headed to Haiti to help families affected by the devastating earthquake. Instead of bringing Tide's mobile laundromat to Port au Prince, the team rebuilt and renovated the laundry rooms of the National Hospital and a local orphanage, complete with brand new washers and dryers. Up until then staff had been doing all of the laundry by hand.
Traveling with the team was a small film crew that documented the support effort. Please take a moment to watch the video and remember all the brave families still dealing with the fallout of the catastrophe.
