GEORGI GIRL & BJ FOXX are Pomeranians -
BJ's 5th birthday is coming up on Nov. 12. He has luxating patellas (knees pop out and get stuck) surgery is required in severe cases, while it happened on occasion when we first got him, fortunately it hasn't been an issue in the last few years....he also has seizures, although (luckily not very often) the first one almost gave me a heart attack, as I had no idea what was wrong with him...from what I've read, we are very lucky, as I understand some dogs can & do have them daily & require medication - he's only had a few since he was a little over a year old. And we now know what to do for him if he does have one.

Georgi Girl: born March 10, 2008. Pomeranians have two coats, GG has never grown in her second...thus she is not as fluffy as BJ. I suspect this & her hyperness may have something to do with her being returned. She has calmed down some, but when she gets real wound up - she will chase her tail. (again, she hasn't done that in over a month or two) If it's possible, I would say she's a bit ADHD. Years ago I rescued a dog that had been caged the first 6 months of his life - I thought love & patience would get him out of his hyperness, but it didn't...The good news is - GG seems to be responding much better than he did. She still has a few issues, but we're patient people & we love her very much.

Good thing BJ's knees aren't popping out all the time anymore. That must be super painful!

Yeah, they both hate wearing anything on their heads. LOL

They say it doesn't hurt when they pop out - but still we are VERY relieved that he seemed to have out grown it.

PaisleyF - thank you, BJ is a doll baby - well socialized, well mannered - but still full of spunk.

At first I thought the same about GG (chihuahua) but I've had a number of them & her disposition don't match up. Perhaps a mix, yes, although she does have papers. (which really mean zip to us) she's just so sweet.
