  • If I am not mistaken, this is Raga Vachaspati. The Komal Nishad is taken in Kalyan scale. It is a South Indian melody. I am sure that the great maestros can bring melody in such raga which is not so easy for others.

  • In answer to ramblinrover: I believe it is Sarasvati Kalyan, but I could be wrong. In south Indian music this is known as Sarasvai. Hope a knowledgeable Rasika will comment. Thank you tripmonk!
