This is the fault of the American public for tolerating these practices. Congress would put a stop to all this right now if the public had the good sense to demand that it stop. Instead, people agree with their lords and masters who assure them it is all necessary for their own safety.

@EyesDownfield Look all I said was that they had a terrible job. Is that so wrong? Is airport security being kind of ridiculous? Absolutely!  Yet I don't think the people that did the patting down are to blame, it's the people that arranged it.

@moorg745 The Gestapo had a terrible job too, but they went along with orders and when society decided that their acts were unjustifiable, in spite of the orders they were given, they were executed.

Groping a child's genitals is sexual assault. It is even worse when you put yourself in a position of authority and threaten a person to either accept sexual assault or be punished (i.e. not allowed to travel freely as the constitution grants all free citizens the right to do).

@nintoolapcfloyd I never said that it was OK what they were doing. I was only saying that the job seems very unpleasant. They either pat down the 8 year old or get fired. For some people, getting fired is not an option.

@crispymidget The difference is that these people were patting down an 8 year old boy, not killing people. If I was told to kill I person I would quit my job in a hear beat. I don't think patting down an 8 year old is so bad.

@moorg745 it's the same foundational mind set that allowed killing jews to be possible. They didn't go from sane people to brainwashed and a killing nation over night. no... things like this were stacked on until the idea of killing an entire race became acceptable.
