@TheTimelordLover, forgive me...you are so right! I just checked the whole comment string and quite a few B/A comments were hidden or marked erroneously as spam.

I've set it right and will check to see if I can set parameters to prevent this and I'll try to be more vigilant in the future. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Hey, issue 2 of BtVS season 8 showed a page from Buffy's inner most fantasies about exactly where the Slayer felt towards each of the two vamps.

I'm a B/S shipper but at this point I think neither of them really have a claim to her. Angel left, Spike didn't even tell her he was alive... And BtVS was always real about relationships. Sorry but first love or not you don't end up holding on to a false hope of a fairy tale ending. You can love someone, that doesn't mean you're in love with them.

Actually, if you listen to Joss' commentary for the last episode, you'll find out otherwise. That wasn't the intention. Joss said that what he wanted wasn't so clear though, becuase the actors were tired and they didn't have time.

To paraphrase, Joss said to Sarah and James, respectively

"love him when you say you love him, and love her when you say she doesn't"

@ablurida The only reason Buffy keeps "falling apart" whenever things might start happening with Angel or Spike is because Joss is milking the relationships to death. He knows whoever Buffy picks will cause a lot of readers to stop buying the comics.

I swear i'll have a fit if he ends the Buffyverse without Buffy choosing someone. Anyone. Because right now he's being real dirty towards the hardcore fans (ones that will watch/read no matter who she's with)

no, spuffy all the way. Spike chose to go through the most horrible of pains for her. He loved her so much, and he died to save her. Spike is the best for buffy.

We all know her heart belongs to Angel since she was sixteen, at the end i'm sure they found their way back to each other, like Joss said their relationship transcends everything.

I think he's right that the writers meant Buffy and Angel to belong together in the series at that point, but after reading season 8 we can see that she always ends up falling apart from Angel whereas Spike is still there. So Buffy should definitely be with Spike.

Anyway, that's my opinion. Sorry for all the Bangel fans out there.

I think James is right. And if Sarah hadn't been so busy during season 5 of Angel, it might have happened. To be fair, I prefer Buffy/Angel to Buffy/Spike. We're all biased about this. Also, I hate the argument that Spike is better because he chose his soul. But everyone seems to ignore the fact that Angel gave up his mortality not to selfishly be with Buffy, but to save her life. Just my opinion, but that makes Angel better to me.
