I am 7th generation US Army, tho i served a sting in the Air Force first, my younger brother serves now in 10th mountain div, i could not be more proud of my military family, our calling, your right, there are sacrifices, hard work, and at the end of every day, the knowledge that we do it, to leave our mark in history, that we may be free, that we might help shape our country, very proud of you also, i noticed, that is your barracks room,! I meant what I said, she can disapprove of the troops, sure, but saying that these people must be ignorant and/or evil to be joining the military is out of line. Join or live like they do and then talk about what it is to be in the United States military. Otherwise she really doesn't know what she is talking about.

Pentazoid, if you want Anarchy, please by all means go to a country that doesn't have laws or a government as loose and tolerant as ours. Last I checked, there are only a hand full of 'Anarchist' states and those are all in the shit holes of Africa. Or in one of the many countries that end in STAN. And there the rules are different. In order to do as you please you have to be armed, have power, and willing to execute those in your way. Do you have those kinda balls on you?

Thanks for stating it in a way I couldn't. Sorry, Pentazoid, that "protecting freedoms" doesn't include making sure you can smoke as much crack as you want to or drive drunk. So sorry that we want the children educated since lots of parents nowadays spend nights at home smoking dope or popping pills instead of reading to their children. I believe it was Thomas Jefferson, who took one individual, out of the white house and gave him a chance to do the right thing, or prove his disloyalty and shoot him, he fired AND landed a bullet into Jefferson's chest, He stood like a wall, shot the guy dead once and returned to his office to continue his work.

They sleep in a bed tonite, A soldier wonders if he will be alive when he wakes in the hole he had to dig to sleep in.

They go to Burger king to eat and socialize, A soldiers scarfs down a tasteless MRE from a dehydrated pack, while hoping that he wont have to bury any more of the faces, he calls battle buddies.

They go to the mall and walk around wasting time, A soldiers walks sweating under his gear, wondering if this is his time to die.

They talk crap about him, Still he will fight for them.
