Greenpeace activists protest against the BRAI bill at the Parliament House

Greenpeace activists protested against the introduction of the Biotechnology Regulatory Authority of India bill that the government is tabling in the current session of Parliament before being detained by the police. The BRAI bill can be come a tool for a single-window clearance of genetically modified crops without any provision for biosafety, liability and transparency.
