disregard my last question... just got to the end of the video... have you (and the vet) had any luck tracking down the cause or regulating them yet?
mad kudos to you for adopting a special needs animal - as a long time rescuer and foster I can tell you that people like you are what makes our job bearable... it is always rewarding to find a critter a forever home but it is doubly so when the animal is hard to place/special needs... Thank you!

Did you know when you adopted him from the shelter that he had these medical issues? Or did it only manifest after you brought him home?

@popcornguppies I was searching the special needs category on Petfinders every few months for a couple years when I came across him. (I was turned down a lot for living in a city apartment/not having a yard.) It's unfortunate that special needs animals are the hardest to place because I find them to be the most rewarding companions. "Saving a dog won't change the world but it will change the world for that dog" is what adoption should really be about. Thank YOU for being a foster/rescuer :)

@popcornguppies The neurologist believes it to be basic epilepsy and we've no luck in establishing a pattern or triggers yet. His schedule and daily routine seldom differs so it's difficult to say. Currently have to finish his heart worm injections (another month and a half) before we can consider switching his current medications. Until then, the vet has given me dog-valium (enema) I can give him if another long seizure like that happens again.
