CustomGuitarVideo.com | Monteleone.net | WoodyMann.com The sound of wood - Woody Mann live. We rarely have a title which is so simple but at the same time so intriguing. On our never ending quest for the holy grail in fine guitars we truly had a day to remember. First John Monteleone tries to capture the sound of wood in his humble words, then Woody Mann definitely captures it with the beauty of his playing. You can tell that John is - besides being one of the key figures in archtop and mandolin making - a wine-maker. The parallels between fine wine and fine Custom Archtop Guitars are more than surprising. Later that day we met Woody Mann at Rudys Music 48th Street. Woody shared some of his incredible talent with us, playing some of the finest Monteleone guitars in New York City. Thanks to Rudy Pensa for sharing some of his Monteleone masterpieces. Enjoy.
I NEED to hear more Woody Mann....and Woody needs to own that guitar. He's obviously having a great time making it speak as it was designed to.

Who gives a fuck about wine? You could compare instrument making to taking a shit but nobody wants to hear about it.

I wish I could've bought a Monteleone back when he first started making arch tops. I
don't think I could stand being on a waiting list. Much thanks for posting your vids!

I really like Woody Mann's ability to break rhythm while still maintaining musicality. What a great video.

No one builds like John and Woody is the best player, Lonnie Johnson, Blind Blake, Big Bill--all rolled into something new and wonderful. Thanks for putting this up!
