Immediately before this video, SPVM riot police, using batons and pepper spray, pushed students down the steps of the CREPUQ offices. Police continued to push students away from the building on Sherbrooke and onto the adjacent streets. Police fired several flashbangs above the crowd. They trampled one protester who couldn't get out of the way fast enough, and then continued down rue City Councillors, where (not seen in video) they assaulted one protest medic (shoved to ground and struck with batons), and at least one other protester (teenage girl, appeared to have a broken or seriously injured ankle). Police stood by, without helping or calling an ambulance, as protest medics helped injured girl.

The brief gap in the video was about thirty seconds, when I stopped shooting to try to get some of the chemical junk from the flashbangs out of my eyes and nose.
