I agree; competitive players don't deserve Brawl. They deserve Melee.

As a "tourneyfag", I'm fine with Brawl stages that aren't entirely vanilla, but ones like the pirate ship where the cannonballs score instakills at random or stupid shit like the super mario bros levels are just unfun to me. To each their own.
Also, if the "obstcales" (obviously metaphor for items) actually WERE symmetrical and given to both players evenly, that would be fine, but they are totally random and can give massive advantages to one player.

Tourney brawlers and competitive brawlers.
There's a difference.
Competitive brawlers like me don't participate in Tourney stuff. IMO, they're too damn complicated and have complex rules. We still follow the no items, no banned stage, etc.
Tourney brawlers on the other hand...
It's obvious they're pros at tourneys and very tough brawlers.
I myself dislike tourneys, but the rules seem legit.
