Sunny came home to her favorite room
Sunny sat down in the kitchen
She opened a book and a box of tools
Sunny came home with a mission

She says days go by I'm hypnotized
I'm walking on a wire
I close my eyes and fly out of my mind
Into the fire

Sunny came home with a list of names
She didn't believe in transcendence
It's time for a few small repairs she said
Sunny came home with a vengeance

She says days go by I don't know why
I'm walking on a wire
I close my eyes and fly out of my mind
Into the fire

Get the kids and bring a sweater
Dry is good and wind is better
Count the years, you always knew it
Strike a match, go on and do it

Days go by I'm hypnotized
I'm walking on a wire
I close my eyes and fly out of my mind
Into the fire
Light the sky and hold on tight
The world is burning down
She's out there on her own and she's alright
Sunny came home
Sunny came home...

  • I love this song. It's so meaniful.

  • "She didn't believe in transcendence." - tran·scen·dent (trn-sndnt) adjective

    1. Surpassing others; preeminent or supreme.

    2. Lying beyond the ordinary range of perception: "fails to achieve a transcendent significance in suffering and squalor" (National Review).

    3. Philosophy

    a. Transcending the Aristotelian categories.

    b. In Kant's theory of knowledge, being beyond the limits of experience and hence unknowable.

    4. Being above and independent of the material universe. Used of the Deity.

  • Or she wants to get even with all of the people that have done her wrong by burning down a place. Maybe it's where she works. Then she takes her children and runs away so she won't be found out. Maybe she's a single mother not getting the respect she deserves. I don't have children, but I'm sure it has to be very difficult raising kids on your own.

  • This is the original. There's just no vocals. The lyrics are right. It's actually about a woman who's sick of her existence in a horrible marriage, takes the children, and then burns down her house. I don't think he's still there, though. The lyrics don't mention that part.

  • the original version of this song is so much sadder.

  • its coz of the angle

  • Am I the only person who noticed how large her hand looks in that picture. Talk about man hands. Love the song though.
