"She didn't believe in transcendence." - tran·scen·dent (trn-sndnt) adjective
1. Surpassing others; preeminent or supreme.
2. Lying beyond the ordinary range of perception: "fails to achieve a transcendent significance in suffering and squalor" (National Review).
3. Philosophy
a. Transcending the Aristotelian categories.
b. In Kant's theory of knowledge, being beyond the limits of experience and hence unknowable.
4. Being above and independent of the material universe. Used of the Deity.

Or she wants to get even with all of the people that have done her wrong by burning down a place. Maybe it's where she works. Then she takes her children and runs away so she won't be found out. Maybe she's a single mother not getting the respect she deserves. I don't have children, but I'm sure it has to be very difficult raising kids on your own.

This is the original. There's just no vocals. The lyrics are right. It's actually about a woman who's sick of her existence in a horrible marriage, takes the children, and then burns down her house. I don't think he's still there, though. The lyrics don't mention that part.
