Know the feeling - Dr Who "Seeds of Doom" made me scared of the trees that lined our street.

Chocky was my first introduction into the realm of SCI-Fi as a child. The Green triangle-alien was a shape-shifter as it used to do whirlpool circles and speak as if swallowed fairy liquid and blurting bubbles!. The loving family, who doted on their kids made it that more gripping to watch. I watched it again after renting a copy from love-film and not quite how I remembered it - Always felt as if I was the only one who had ever watched it, but how wrong was I?

Ahh my childhood coming home back from school. Turn the telly on for CITV or Childrens BBC. I missed those years gone by.

haircuts have gone full circle

@MISSLD125 I get that too! No one remembers it. It really seems to have stuck with those that do remember it though. Chilling to this day! Not sure it would be allowed these days! Too subtly creepy! LOVE it!
-
Right shall we all go watch it together as no other fooker can remember it apart from us weirdo's?....... LOL! lets go!

I absolutely loved this, Nobody but nobody can remember watching it as a kid, It scared the be-jusus out of me but I was hooked!
Even to this day I get a feeling of panic when I see the old Citroen DS (the frog-eye old vintage car) that was in one of the series, they were the baddies no word of a lie!
-
imagine the outcry if they showed this today in the states lol
-
They need to bring back stuff like this for kids, back then we were disciplined and thought this would actually happen if you lied or didnt do as you were told! Scare the little bastards more-they might behave better!

i bet the new soon to be released movie my spielberf and JJ abrahms is based on Chocky = Super 8
I remember this! If you can believe that Nickelodean used to show this and the even creepier Third Eye back in th early '80s. If you ask me, they need to bring back odd and eeire shows like this for kids!
