Problem:
This problem occurred when I replaced the piston o-rings on my Jura Impressa E50 brewing unit. As you can see, the brewing unit is in a wrong position. It should be ready to receive the ground coffee into the lower brewing chamber but instead it's in the "brewing coffee" position. The only way to get it into the correct position is to gently push the top of the lower brewing piston once it appears during a rinse cycle.
From my observation of the brewing unit, the lower brewing chamber rides on inner guide track loops which direct it between two critical positions: the "brewing coffee" position and the "accept coffee grounds " position. On each of these inner guide track loops, there are two one-way tabs that prevent the lower brewing chamber from moving in the opposition direction. Well, they're not working. As the top of the lower brewing position is visible in the cycle, it fails to lower, reverse direction and jumps the tabs.
Cause:
I am currently, investigated the possible causes.
Solution:
Not currently available.
