I-Pod touch screen not working

THIS HAS BEEN FIXED!!!! MY SCREEN WOULD LIGHT UP WHEN I TOUCHED IT AND IT WOULD DIM AS IF IT WERE GOING INTO STANDBY... I LET THE SCREEN STAY DIM AND IT EVENTUALLY RAN OUT OF BATTERY LIFE! AFTER TAHT I PLUGGED IT INTO MY WALL CHARGER AND IT WORKED JUST FINE.

Try holding the power and home button until your iPod turns off. Then do the same thing to turn back on.

READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO FIX UR IPOD FOR FREE. To make a long story short i dropped my 2g ipod touch in a river and it became unresponsive to touch as shown in the video above. After researching on possible ways to fix it, I decided to use a butter knife to pop my screen off and see if maybe the digitizer got shifted or something. After undoing all the brackets on the sides to pop the screen off, i slid my finger across and noticed it was responsive again. I didn't even have to remove the screen

you gotta buy a new screen it should come with a tool pop the screen there should be an orange cable put the cable back in or u have to install a new screen if orange wire busted
