Played on 12th Feb 2008 at Hamilton.

NZ won by 10 Wickets.

England raced away batting first to a quick 40 odd when MArtin struck with Mustards wicket and the next ball with Bells to make it 42/2. Enter Peiterson and he took control of the game along with cook (53). Rain stopped play at 85/2 and the game reduced to 36 overs. After that New Zealand came in, Mason struck and England collapsed into oblivion to be bowled out for 153.

New Zealand in their chase, after a maiden first over smashed the poms all over the ground. McCullum and Ryder formed a 165 run partnership at a run-rate of 9 an over to blast England out of the park and lead the series 2-0. Ryder 79 and McCullum 80.

  • Hey whats the name of your backround song? ive been trying to find it for ages now?

  • Ryder gets into such a brilliant position for his front foot cover drive..

  • @electroken I have to add that if you watch baseball you might find that a bit boring too until you know the game better and understand the intricacies of it. If cricket were played in the usa, I would definitely be a fan. I tried to bat and pitch a bit myself and it is a lot harder than it looks. Esp pitching. The ball is light compared to a baseball and I am no good at overhand you have to use. I am 70 yrs old now so not so easy to learn new tricks.......lol

  • I am from USA (Minnesota) and went to NZ and Aus for 3 months Dec07 to Feb08 and got to watch this game with my NZ friend - my first to see and was trying to learn the scoring and how the game was played etc. What a great game to see for my first one, dont you think? I am aware enough to know that no matter if it is one of these one day games or the 5 day ones, England would be hard to beat normally so I was happy for my NZ friend. As for me, I would find it a bit boring to watch one for 5 days

  • Yep, McCullum is a fanstastic hitter of the ball, bettered only by his keeping. He should be an Aussie

  • do u kno y england scred 158 but new zealand chased 165

  • i love watching jesse ryder
