  • It's 11 days until she skates at Nats and word is that her injury is healed and she's back skating with 100 octane. --Alissa will win Nats for the 3rd time. Probably with a 190+ but Mirai is strong competition and could win Gold also. Ashley Wagner could get Silver this year. And I bet Gracie Gold wins Gold at Juniors!

  • I wince everytime she falls! If she can stay vertical, she's unbeatable! She's an extremely beautiful skater, an absolutely gorgeous young woman and isn't that dress one of the most beautiful ever seen on ice!

  • Alissa hurt her left calf/ankle in practice on Thursday but decided to skate anyway. She's taking a week off to recuperate.

  • Well, Alissa fell twice in the Freeskate and came in 5th.

  • I think her SP score still holds her in contention to medal/win. It all depends. Good luck! You're one of my favorites in the world right now.

  • The gimbal fun swing would just have a limited swing of movement near the ice so as not to interfere wth footwork. You know, Alissa could still win Gold tomorrow if Kostner flubs. Alissa got 121.90 in her lp at TEB.

  • I've designed a skating harness that's inner and outer roll gimbal mounted and counter-weighted on a long beam, like a camera crane in the movies.. I haven't built a prototype yet.

  • Alissa is an excellent skater, but she keeps falling in competition. It makes me sad. I wonder if there is something she could do to fix that problem? I know she's nervous, but maybe jump with the harness and practice staying on axis or something? I don't know. I want her to win and she has great potential... she is one of the best figure skaters in the world right now.

  • Terrific skate, too bad she fell on that one jump, looked like she was off-axis on landing. Jason looks like "oop! what do we do now?" Alissa looks great!
