This is a few clips of my sons amazing progress. It shows him at age 5 with horrible stimming before going dairy free. Than it goes to the outdoor scene, his bday at age 6 were he is doing better. Than at age 7he is Doing soooo MUCH better. He was nonverbal until about 5 1/2. He has changed dramatically in 2yrs. We were told he may never speak.

  • Very touching!!!! God bless your child and help you in all efforts that you make every day! Jacob boy is awesome!

  • Thank you so much!

  • this is the exact reason why i cant leave my field of work. its amazing to witness a non-verbal child say his/her first words. its so gratifying especially to see the parent's reaction....words can't describe

  • It is truly amazing to see my son speak. I remember when I couldn't imagine what his voice would sound like. Thank you for your kind post.

  • I was looking for other children with echolalia to try to gauge my sons development & what a surprise to see and hear in your videos what I see and hear everyday and over the years! You even sound like me behind the camera! :) You can see and feel the genuine love and patience you have with Jacob. It is awesome seeing another family who reminds me of ours! Thank you for posting this. I homeschool my son so sometimes it gets tough to keep my chin up! Your video hit at the right time!

  • Sorry I missed this post. I am so happy Jacob brought encouragement to you. I homeschool some of my children too. Jacob attends an autism classroom and gets amazing services through are district, so I have opted to not homeschool him. That is awesome that you are able to devote so much time and energy to your son. Keep your chin up, it's not an easy job, but as you know, every little step forward is a great reward.

  • My friends two kids have autism they dont speak at all they make sounds like ooh oho and when theyre afraid they say terroroon theyre really cute btw my friend is 14 :3

  • With all the attention and love he gets, he improves. That shows that Autistic children need more love.

  • Jacob will thrive...he has a loving family! My son has Downs and autism. He is now 33 yrs old, but no speech

  • good job mom and jacob!

  • @staxpetrick Make sure that you don't ostracize the kids. I have autism and that happened to me and I still have a hatred to my teachers for treating me in an inferior way. Respect the kids Autism isn't a disease!

  • god bless you jacob xox

  • Did you notice any change with the Chelation approach you used. I have been looking into it but am so afraid of possible negative outcomes.

  • his family learned he was allergic to dairy products and then cut the dairy products out of his diet. many autistic children have severe reactions to any ingested substances to which they are allergic, even a tiny amount of thimerosol in a vaccine can trigger a bad raction in a child who is allergic to the mercury.

it can be dairy products with one child, mercury with another, and still other kinds of toxic poisinings with other autistic children, so methodical testing for allegies pays off.

  • what did you do to help him? meds, suppliments, therapies, etc???
