The Gigapan Camera Mount can move a DSL with a heavy lens and use electronic shutter release!

  • Lame!! You put a test video when the camera battery was dying!!?

  • its not good.

why ...nodal point problems.. lens has to be dead center to tripod center for close range panos. Long range over 100 meters its fine as long as nothing is to close (field and distant trees/buildings is fine)

Gigapans are ok but you still end up using sub standard camera equipment and cheap lens.

Best to go for a acuter merlin/orbit with wireless nokia m800 /papywizard software and blue tooth adaptor /externel 12v dc battery.

its a cheap setup but very high end results

  • I don't know...taking the 'test' of your bed seems a bit close to, well, to gigaporn :-)

  • How do you move the camera with the nodal point at the center of rotation? It doesn't look it does based on your video.

  • how did you build controller,..great job. Did you have any example online?

  • Turn off your auto preview and your battery will last longer.
