  • Great the two matches of me on youtube are losses... Well, if nothing else I got to be a redbelt for the day even if the ref wasn't too thrilled about it.

Nice job on the editing and the match; I had no answer for your pinning game.

  • Never mind that, it was a close match. I posted a couple of my losses on my playlist where I got stuck in guard.

Sorry I didn't stick around to give you the rematch in absolute, I had a guy waiting to get his gi back that I borrowed, and had a 3 hr drive back home.

  • DC, I just watched your video and realized that it was me video taping the match for you. Awesome job; well done. Cheers!

  • awesome job--you set a new standard. i guess since all of your matches are taped by others, you know exactly what you wish they would have done.

  • No need for all the f*** comments!!

  • choke was before the subtitle and half guard, not after, subtitle may be confusing...an underhook, cross grip choke that was broken up w/ half guard

  • Also, in watching the video and critiquing what I did, one thing that bears mentioning is that there was actually no real choke there in the beginning. There was no pressure on the throat or on blood flow.

In fact thought you were just trying to pass from half to mount.

Which of Ralph's schools are you at?

  • I was just kidding, I don't take myself too seriously.

As for the absolute, don't worry about it. I hadn't trained in a couple of weeks and was really just there to help Mark and Kelly out with score keeping. The other guys in the purple absolute were guys I roll with almost everyday anyway.

I'm still laughing about the whole redbelt argument by the way.

  • Nice Job!!! :-)......Guess it was worth the drive afterall huh?...lol

  • wow! you're flexible now, aren't you?
