  • please contact me direct on kerry.maidment@hotmail.co.uk I havent heard of this surgeon, have you tried googling him? You can find out when he started operating in uk. I feel totally for your poor daughter, i dont think people realise how life changing losing your colon is x

  • Have done also been diagnosed with I.C and am still having various treatments 6 years on, spent last 2 weeks out of 3 back in hospital all as result of this one mistake and 14 ops now. There are many victims of negligence, god knows where we find the strength to battle but we do. I battle on for answers as should other sufferers, there are some amazing surgeons and there are too mny sub standard ones who have no concept of how they ruin lives. x

  • Thank you everyone for your amazing comments, so far I have personally helped 3 ladies get treatment so it helps knowing someone who has been through what I have to help when no-one else listens. I wish Uk was tough like America,I would welcome it. Saddest thing is the original surgeon who started this is still operating on patients, so wrong. Many surgeons have my blood on their hands to of left me in such a mess, I appreciate all ur support kerry x

  • i know how you feel i have had my first surgery when i was 15 and im twenty 24 now and i have had 35 surgerys for all these opps an stuff up and im sill fighting strong.you stay strong we are out hear to talk to

  • Can you check on a Dr. Harnsburger Manchester nh dartmouth Hitchcock he operated on my daughter and she has now been in the hospital 18 days with complications.

  • @blinky855 i work in the UK (formerly the US) in medicine now. my wife had had a c-section. NHS after care needs reform. this video and many others has made me feel less alone and more aware of the critical issues in surgery in the UK.

  • Wow. You sound like me. In 2005 I went in for outpatient ovary removal. The surgeon punctured my intestine, didn't note it. He went on vacation, I ended up in ICU on a vent in a coma. Spent over 200 days in hospital. Had over 14 abd operations, ostomies, resections, wound vac, drains, hernia mesh, sepsis, flesh eating virus, c diff, you name it.many years later I suffer daily from pain, taking many meds, spend days in bed crying. Cant work. Nothing can be done for me they say. tammyspice@msn.com

  • Hello. I'm sorry that a idiot ruined your life and I hope that you are feeling better now and that your health continues to improve.(>^.^)>

  • @milliejoe8 and please, comment back or send me a personal message and let me know how your doing. i would like to know some more specifics about your original precedure that was supposed to be done, what went wrong, and the diagnosis(s) if you dont mind sharing. thanks for sharing your story

  • hello. i work in surgery in america as a surgical technician and was just brushing up on some procedures and ran across your story and couldnt help but be disturbed by it. i went to your website and read your story and was horrified by your testimony. i hope and pray that you are doing better now and im glad to see you found a qualified surgeon to fix the mess the put you in. if something remotely like what happened to you happened here, every person involved would end up in jail.

  • problem with england is they dont have the best quality of doctors, this is the problem with natinal health, sad really, i had diverticulitis and was very lucky i had fantastic surgeon 1 surgery and been healthy since, im grateful!!! sorry to hear what you went through
