  • it should work good. those thermal blankets look like jag floor lining.

  • I'm just about to start it up with a evap coil for my cooling tower!, the electronics is still bugged though.

the thermal blankets are bloody heavy actually, would work well in a car interior!

  • Do you have any retrictions on the use of R22 in Aus? In the UK it will be banned by the end of the year!

  • I'm pretty sure it is the same, manufacturers are rolling out tons of products using 410A or 404A, even Danfoss dosn't list specs on R22 compressors anymore!

You can still service existing systems, but can't buy new R22 machines after 2010 I think

  • I see a PCB

  • The ban on R-22 and other "CFC" refrigerants is worldwide. Their manufacture is nearly at an end. You'll be able to buy from holdover stocks for maintenance, but the cost will be very, very high.

Therefore buying a new air conditioner or heat pump charged with R-22 is a bad idea.

Some said that concerns about CFCs were "managed science," a la global warming, and billions of dollars would be spent to accomplish nothing. But such statements were ignored.

  • cool. you dont need electronics to make a a/c unit work.lol. yer ther good for sound deadening.
