This song is dedicated to Australian ex immigration minister, Amanda Vanstone. I was inspired to write this song after reading in the newspaper that she was deportimg a refugee family and charging an exorbitant amount of money for their stay in detention as if it were a luxious resort not a prison. This happened closed to another incident in Australilan politics involving Amanda. A bill was to be passed which allowed the government to fine Indigenous parents if their children did not go to school. I dont think the bill was passed but even the attempt is evidence of blatant rascism in Australia. Infact the Indigenous people of our country are dealt with under the same department as immigration. Bizare!
Since writng this song Amanda Vanstone has been sacked though her predecessor Phillip Ruddock, with worse crimes behind him, was promoted to Attorney General.

I agree totally with Mascaratearz. We have much reason to be ashamed of our Government. What on earth does the army have to teach our Original people? What right to lock up poor people who come here in boats?

I am really angr with John Howard and his recent plan for Indigenous Australians in the Northern Territory. I am so ashamed of this racist nation, of our Prime Minister and so called democracy.
