@Imjustme778 I have the L.P. Never Been Gone;so I am going to listen a little better.I read it many time too;but then got thinking about it and realized I never heard Carly say this?

@brian6078 It's my understanding she revealed the answer on her album Never Been Gone.She said there's a little whisper and it's the answer. She went on to say it was during the song You're So Vain. Playing the song backwards she says David twice, At the time I wrote the post I thought it was about David Geffen, Although When Carly was asked she said it wasn"t about David Geffen but told CNNRadio it was about a David...So I guess you're right, we still don't really know. ( Just what I read )

@Imjustme778 She never said who the song was about.Some news person on the internet said she finally gave it up;but she never shows the actual video of Carly actually admitting this.Also people think just because Mick Jagger sung back -ups for this song,that the song could not be about him.Back then Mick always wore a scarf.I think the song is about Mick Jagger.
