  • You should have let it tire itself out before doing anything

  • @SambaSpirit64 Sadly it doesn't work that way. The deer had been caught for over 12 hours, they will always keep a reserve of energy and act like this when approached. If you stand there waiting for they to tire, they are likely to then die of a heart attack when you catch them, so you are better off catching them at the earliest opportunity.

  • Should have just used a tranq dart.

  • @LocutusIsBorg We don't have many vets in the area with access to Tranquilizer darts here in the UK, and most vets are not interested in dealing with deer.

  • man that looks like a while vollyball net along with the swing! lol

  • Thats the net we used to catch the deer with. Its a "Walk-towards" net that helps us catch the deer without putting overselves in danger. In situations like this when speed or rescue is important, we sacrifice the net (which costs about £100) and cut it off the deer to free it quickly.

  • At 2:52 the deer turns around and says thank you

  • he looked back and said thanks guys. well done

  • Looks like the deer turned around to thank you for your hard work.

  • Aw that was really nice for you guys to do that :)

  • Hmm it's amazing how intelligent animals really are and not given any credit for it. That buck actually turned around in the end to say hey thanks.. I thought you were going to eat me but you saved me. If instinct kicked in he would have went deep in bush right from the point he was freed. Great Video it's always awesome to see the goodness in people and what we really are at the core if not tainted by trauma or abuse. although sometimes it makes one stronger and a more humble loving person.

  • i think the deer stopped running to show gratitude

  • nice

  • Oh Deer...
